Tigers Eye is a silicate based mineral, it has a mohs hardness of 6.5-7. Due to this gems composition there are a few tips for its care. Tigers eye alone isn’t much cause for concern however it likes to holds iron. Iron isn’t a huge fan of salt or water, so unless you want your gem rusting up it is advised you keep it away from those things.
